It’s officially fall here in South County. At the Village of Escaya, the weather is still warm, and the palm trees have no plans on changing to autumn colors. But that doesn’t stop sunny Chula Vista from celebrating the season right, with events to keep you in the Halloween spirit all month long. Here are 5 local events to meet all your pumpkin carving, candy craving, fall festivity needs:
Saturday, October 28 from 3-6 p.m.
Your family is invited to trick-or-treat The Village of Escaya. (All houses are certified un-haunted.) We’re talking candy at all 21 model homes, hayrides, games and activities for the kids, a DJ playing your favorite spooky sounds, and the Halloween Holy Grail: king size candy bars at the Welcome Center, for as long as they last. And while the kids are stockpiling sweets, we welcome you to explore our models and see what makes an Escaya home, home. Visit our Facebook Page for more details and to RSVP.
Tuesday, October 31 from 3-5 p.m.
Bring your little pumpkins to visit Village Walk and East Lake Village Marketplace where merchants will be handing out free treats for children ages 12 and under, dressed in costume. All children, accompanied by an adult, sign up at the free registration table where they will receive a Halloween bag before setting off to collect their candy.
Friday, October 20 from 5:30 – 10 p.m.
Get your scare on (but not too scary) with a Halloween flick under the stars. Arrive early for kids activities, starting at 5:30 p.m,, and stay for the movie at approximately 7:00 p.m. The feature presentation will be Goosebumps the movie, rated PG. Be sure to bring chair or a blanket as you enjoy this free Halloween event.
